As a teenager I worked as a model for Storm Model Management. This helped me gain confidence and character as I travelled the UK and Europe and learnt to survive in a tough industry. Assignments included Sunday Times Style Magazine (front cover), The Independent, Vidal Sasoon, Joop, I-D magazine and catwalk experience.
Whilst growing up, in Staffordshire, I spent the majority of my time in both Theatre and Musical Theatre productions, at school and in the local community. I had a very musical upbringing, playing clarinet and singing to performance standard and also playing the piano. Acting and musical performance became an everyday obsession and a huge part of my youth. This eventually led to me gaining a first class honours degree and professional training at drama school (Central School of Speech and Drama).
Over the last couple of years I have been gaining experience in short films, feature films and commercials. I have recently finished working on a challenging short film which has been provisionally selected to be premiered at Sundance Film Festival ’09. I’m hoping to go to Utah, soak in the atmosphere and excitement of such a huge film festival and use this great opportunity to network and learn more about the industry.
On a personal note, I am a very chatty, friendly and open person. I always commit completely to any project I’m involved in and I work incredibly hard to get results. This applies to both my career and my personal life as I recently completed a marathon for charity and didn’t skip a single training session! I am very self-motivated and determined to do everything I can to make acting a successful long-term career.
